Seizure-exempt threshold

The RBG may not seize this part of the income. This part is at least 95% of the social assistance standard. Do you receive more income? Then your employer / withholding agent will deduct what you earn more. And transfers this to the RBG.

Does the RBG take the seizure-exempt threshold into account?

Yes, the RBG makes a calculation for the seizure-exempt threshold. This is based on requesting information about your income and residential situation. If seizure is applied, you will receive a form. It contains all the relevant details in our system.

We do not have full information. For example, you may have a high cost of living, or other parties may have seized goods. For this reason, please check the details carefully.  Please report any changes via My RBG or contact the Debt Collection team for assistance, telephone number 088 291 11 70. Not submitting any changes? Then the seizure-exempt threshold stated on the form is applied.

More information about your seizure-exempt threshold can be found at Here you can calculate whether your seizure-exempt threshold has been calculated correctly.
