The RBG has sent you a tax bill. Afterwards, the RBG sent you many letters. A demand for payment letter, a writ of execution, a final notice writ and a preliminary announcement of attachment of wages. The tax bill has not been paid in full as of today. This is why the RBG will claim some of your income to pay the due amount.

The letter states how the seizure-exempt threshold was calculated for you. This is the part of your income that we cannot seize. This part is at least 95% of the income support level. It is important that you check that the information in the letter is correct. Is something not correct, or is information missing? Please let us know as soon as possible.

Yes. If not, the bailiff may decide on foreclosure or attachment from the employer.

Yes. You can contact debt collection team (088 291 11 70). You can pay in two instalments. Instalment 1: due at the end of the month during which we requested information. Instalment 2: due at the end of the month after that. Are you late in paying one of the instalments? Then the RBG will proceed with attachment of wages.

Please transfer the amount above the attachment threshold to the RBG. This should be repeated every month until the debt is paid. Have you received a letter ‘attachment of income’? Then you can start making the payments to the RBG from the first wage to be paid out. Please use the tax bill number as a payment reference. This is stated on the ‘attachment of income’ form.
