The money raised through the water authority tax is used to benefit residents in many ways. Examples include building strong dykes and maintaining the water level. The water authority also carries out the treatment of waste water from the sewers. These are all things that help make life pleasant and safe for you.
RBG works for municipalities and water authorities
Everyone in the Netherlands contributes a little, and does so just once per year. The Regional Tax Group (Regionale Belasting Groep, RBG) arranges the water authority tax in your municipality.
