As of 1 January 2026, Regionale Belasting Groep (RBG) will take over the administration of municipal taxes for the municipality of Zuidplas. This means residents and businesses will be able to manage their local taxes more efficiently and in one place. In February, all residents and businesses will receive a letter with more information.
Residents will receive one bill containing all local taxes
From the end of February 2026, residents will receive one tax bill for
- water board tax
- bin collection charges
- sewerage charges
- property tax (OZB)
This eliminates the need for separate invoices from different agencies. The total costs will be shown in one clear overview. It will remain possible to pay in up to ten instalments.
Businesses will also receive an invoice from a waste processor
From the end of February onwards, businesses will receive one tax bill from RBG. This will not state your landfill tax. There will be no changes to the collection of commercial waste. For the collection of commercial waste, businesses must enter into a contract with a licensed waste processor. They will then receive a separate invoice from the waste processor.
Residents gain insight into the costs of their residual waste
From 2026 onwards, residents will be able to view the following statistics via My RBG
- How often an underground residual waste container is opened with their waste card
- How often the grey mini-container for residual waste is emptied
- How often the resident has visited the waste collection point
Additional assistance
The Municipality of Zuidplas and RBG offer free tax assistance. This assistance is offered both online and at various locations in the villages. This is done in collaboration with the Post Office of Stichting ZO!. Assistance dates will be announced in the new year. Questions regarding tax matters from 2025 or previous years will continue to be answered by the municipality (gemeente@zuidplas.nl).
